Julie Ekdom, Principal & CEO, has worked in the P&C insurance industry since 1986. Prior to becoming an actuary she served in various roles throughout the industry, including marketing representative, licensed insurance agent, and underwriting
manager. Julie graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science. She is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), an Associate in Surplus Lines
Insurance (ASLI), and an Associate in Risk Management – Enterprise (ARM-E).
Susan Ellis, Principal & CFO, graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Business Analysis and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA). She began her insurance career as a personal and commercial lines claims adjuster before advancing to a management role in Information Technology. Most recently Susan was responsible for overseeing a team of programmers in the pharmaceutical information industry, where terabytes of data are analyzed and interpreted to assist life sciences companies in better understanding the market for their products.
